Tour description
A street food tour in Mexico City is a great way to experience the vibrant culture and cuisine of the city. The tour begins in the historic center of the city, where you can explore the colorful markets and sample some of the delicious street food. From tacos of all kinds, like Pastor, Carnitas and Canasta, to Quesadillas, Gorditas, and other vegetarian options you'll get to try, not to mention all the sweets and candies. The tour includes a visit to the famous San Juan market, where you can explore the vibrant stalls and sample some of the freshest ingredients. Don’t pay hundreds of dollars for a tour. We believe that everybody should have the right to enjoy the flavors of a new country and to learn the history of its cuisine without having to spend a large amount of money. This is a tour where you will try the best street food from Mexico and our capital city, with the charisma and expertise of one of our guides! We will meet in the same place as the free tour (Palacio de Bellas Artes) at 2:00 pm. We will try the dishes with different food vendors, so for this tour, don’t expect gourmet food. This is the real and authentic street food eaten by the locals of Mexico City. You will learn about the history of the market, we will explain to you the origins of what you are eating and, of course, you will get to taste the real Mexico. Before the tour, the guide will have a couple of minutes to get to know you while you walk from the meeting point to the market and, therefore, he/she will tell you what foods you should definitely try according to your taste, the options of food you can choose and what you may not like so much.
